Gospel Gardens 12.04.18
On Thursday 12th April Huntspill Class hosted an R.E morning with two visiting classes from our Hub schools, St. James’s and Bishops Lydeard.
The purpose of the morning was to share experiences of our Churches, as well as to deepen the children’s understanding of the Gospel.
Over 60 children were shown around St Andrew’s Church by our pupils. They had the opportunity to meet Father Robin as well as listen to the ‘Parable of The Sower’, delivered by Mrs Jarmain.
All the children then came over to our outside space at school and, in pairs, re-created the story in the form of ‘Gospel Gardens’.
The children showed, in discussion and in their ‘Gardens’, a meaningful understanding of the Parable. It was a fantastic, creative morning and the children look forward to tending their ‘Gardens’ and seeing what grows!
