Church Distinctiveness

Our worship area in the hall has been updated with a beautiful piece of natural wood and new hanging made by Mrs Jarmain containing all the colours of the liturgical calendar.

We are proud to be a Church school and provide a distinctively Christian education, whilst being fully inclusive and welcoming people of all faiths and none.

We enjoy very close links with St. Andrew’s Church, and we regularly visit for special services and to learn more about Christianity. We are also fortunate in having our own school and pupil chaplains.

Here are some tweets from our Twitter feed which highlight some of the range of activities we do.

Windows, Mirrors, Doors.

We use the windows, mirrors and doors approach to developing spirituality.

Windows

* Opportunities for children to be aware of the world in new ways, looking out into the world.

* To wonder about life's 'WOWS. Things that are amazing.

* To think about life's 'OWS' that take us by surprise!

* Learning about life in all its fullness.

Mirrors

* Opportunities to reflect on their experiences.

* Looking inside yourself.

* Consider life's big questions and reach for some possible answers.

* Learning from life by exploring our own insights and those of others.

Doors

* Opportunities for children to respond.

* Moving onto a new path or situation.

* To do something creative to develop and apply our ideas.

* Learning to live out our beliefs and values.

Mrs Davies created these lovely displays for the front of the hall to help us with this. The fourth board celebrates where we have seen WMD in action around the school.
